SEO considerations should be accounted for even before one web page, much less a whole site, is created. However, since doing the SEO work takes time and effort there is usually an extra fee for that work. In terms of cost, as mentioned above, they vary widely. It is probably best to ask for referrals to help ensure that the company that you are working with actually knows what they are doing.

i am not sure about who is best
but i do suggest you to do proper research before you hire anyone.

Ask for project references and search ranking references rather than just blindly relying on whatever the company says.

Also search on Google, seo review websites like http://www.findseo.org

You should outsource your project and ask specifically for a UK based webdesigner. There a dosens of websites where you can post this project and wait for them to contact you. I cannot post these websites here, but you can do a Google search and easily find out.

Most SEO services are a scam. I'm unfamiliar with the one you chose, but you are best to pick up a book or Google "how to get ranked higher in Google" if you want more traffic.

Depending on what do you want. You can either pay someone to optimize your website one time, or you can have monthly expenses for seo company to keep your website ranking good. If you find regular seo company, they should be able to do the work for you. If your keywords are competitive, the price could be up to few thousands dollars.

Some seo company will still charge you more for getting your website a good rank and than ask for monthly expenses to keep your website up. This could be around few hundred dollars a month.

The best investment and cheapest is to do this yourself and pay for tutoring and some good SEO tool.
